This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Full Stack Engineer (Backend Heavy, Node.js + React) in India.
As a Full Stack Engineer focusing on backend development, you will design, build, and maintain robust web applications that impact millions of users. You will work across the full technology stack, with a primary focus on Node.js backend services, while contributing to React-based front-end features. Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing APIs, optimizing database interactions, and ensuring high performance and scalability. You will participate in the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance. The position offers opportunities to influence system architecture, adopt best practices, and work in a fast-paced, remote-first environment that values innovation and code quality.
- Accountabilities
- Develop high-quality, responsive web applications using Node.js , React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Design and implement server-side APIs, data models, and business logic primarily using the Express framework.
- Create client-side React components, hooks, stories, and tests that interact with backend services.
- Optimize database schemas, queries, and interactions with Postgres.
- Build reusable, modular components that enhance maintainability and scalability.
- Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Stay updated with emerging web development trends and recommend improvements to processes and tooling.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code standards.
- Requirements
- 4+ years of full-stack development experience with a focus on TypeScript and Node.js .
- Strong proficiency in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications using modern web technologies.
- Experience with React for building dynamic client-side applications.
- Knowledge of database design and interaction, particularly with Postgres.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and asynchronous programming.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote-first environment while taking ownership of projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and customer-focused mindset.
- Preferred: experience with NestJS, Vite, Next.js , testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Chai, Cypress), and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
