Those in local taxes at PwC will focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on local tax matters. Your work will involve analysing and interpreting local tax laws and regulations, assisting businesses in complying with local tax requirements and optimising their local tax positions.Focused on relationships, you are building meaningful client connections, and learning how to manage and inspire others. You’ll also participate in dynamic and digitally enabled training that is designed to grow your technical and professional skills.As part of the Tax Services team you engage in the thorough process of US Partnership and Corporate Tax returns, RIC Compliance, and Provisions. As a Senior Associate, you analyze complex problems, mentor others, and uphold elevated standards. You focus on building client relationships and developing a deeper understanding of the business context, while managing and inspiring others to navigate increasingly complex situations and grow your personal brand and technical proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in the preparation and review of US Partnership and Corporate Tax returns
  • Maintain adherence to RIC regulations and tax provisions
  • Mentor and guide junior team members to enhance their skills
  • Build and nurture enduring client relationships
  • Analyze intricate tax issues and provide insightful solutions
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the business environment
  • Inspire and manage team members to handle complex scenarios
  • Uphold the firm's professional standards and ethical guidelines
What You Must Have
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years of experience
  • Performing senior review on US Partnership and Corporate Tax returns, RIC Compliance and Provisions
  • Researching and detail-oriented professional
  • Participating in the entire life cycle of the engagement, from kick off to wrap up
  • Supervising and training staff and new joiners on assigned engagements
  • Leading the way and becoming expert in the use of all approved tools and technologies relevant to your work
  • Building rapport with the engagement team and seeking opportunities to work directly with them
  • Championing/superuser on any of the tools widely used for tax compliance
  • Providing review comments on tax Provisions
  • Handling complete engagement lifecycle without supervision
  • Coaching and developing team members and guiding them with career progression plans
  • Assisting managers in increasing scope of business
  • Being point of contact from IAC on the respective engagements
What Sets You Apart
  • Graduation in commerce or post graduation in Accounting and Finance preferred
  • Proficiency in Federal/SALT/RE/Hedge Funds/BCM/Insurance/1120 RIC
  • 3+ years of experience in the FS industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs
  • Following risk management and compliance procedures
  • Actively participating in facilitating FS training
  • Learning various automation tools quickly and training others
  • Demonstrating a positive attitude and collaboration
  • Leading a team effectively
