Front Desk Receptionist

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Hospital Receptionist to manage our front desk operations and oversee essential billing and insurance processes. This dual-role position requires exceptional customer service skills and a strong understanding of medical administration to ensure a smooth, professional, and financially sound patient experience. Key Responsibilities: Greet, register, and check-out patients, managing multi-line phone systems and scheduling appointments efficiently. Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage; obtain necessary pre-authorizations and referrals. Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances; process payments and explain billing statements clearly. Submit accurate claims to insurance companies, follow up on denials, and resolve billing discrepancies. Maintain accurate patient records within our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Coordinate communication between patients, families, and medical staff to support seamless patient care. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; medical billing certification is a plus. Proven experience in a healthcare administrative or reception role. Proficiency with EHR and medical billing software. Solid knowledge of medical terminology, insurance practices, and HIPAA guidelines.
