Sales Manager / Sr Manager Freight Forwarding (Female)

How this role is supported by the company?

At Merkay India Logistics (Chennai) - Sales Mgr/Sr Mgr. will be provided with a strong operations team, pricing and inside sales team to meet the GTM and sales goals for the year. Our HQ in USA will provide their contracts with shipping lines to buy containers at a competitive rate and shall help in expanding a good agent network in other geographies. Our partner company in USA will support any cargo coming into USA lanes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Performance Monitoring

Plan strategic business objectives, contact your existing clients to start with at least 20-30 FCLs per month and it could be also some air shipments. P&L responsibility for Freight Forwarding business, bringing new customers onboard
Come on board with some set of customers to instil head start of revenue.
Present a sales plan and work with management in Chennai and USA to reach business revenue goals.
This will be an independent contributor role to start with, supported by inside sales and basis the volumes the sales team will expand/grow over the coming months.
Candidate must have a sharp market knowledge in terms of what rates are moving and what rates/margins will work.

Selection Criteria

Present a business plan alongside broader activities to describe how you will start with Merkay India. Plan should be articulative with potential revenue/margin numbers to visualize the role outcomes.
Should be flexible to travel and meet customers.
SHOULD HAVE A PROVEN RECORD in forwarding industry.
Only female experienced candidates apply and must be from CHENNAI only.
