About the Role

Sigma Trucking is seeking a high-performing Freight Broker with strong experience in both Drayage and OTR (Over the Road) freight operations. The ideal candidate must have an existing book of business with 2–3 active clients and the ability to manage end-to-end freight movement efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle brokerage operations, including prospecting, negotiating, booking loads, and tracking shipments.
• Maintain and grow relationships with shippers and carriers.
• Leverage your existing client base to generate revenue and ensure consistent load flow.
• Handle both Drayage and OTR freight with accuracy and efficiency.
• Analyze client needs, identify capacity solutions, and provide competitive pricing.
• Coordinate with dispatch teams to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
• Resolve load-related issues, delays, and exceptions through proactive communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation, load details, rate confirmations, and CRM/portal updates.
• Meet weekly and monthly revenue targets.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Freight Broker.
• Strong understanding of Brokerage operations, US logistics, and trucking market trends.
• Hands-on experience with Drayage and OTR freight (mandatory).
• Must have 2–3 active clients ready to onboard.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation, customer service, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet targets consistently.
