POSITION DESCRIPTION Job Title: Freelance Researcher – IOTA-Based ITS Blockchain Development Job Purpose: The role involves conducting applied research on IOTA Tangle and Streams to develop a secure, decentralized, and feeless data exchange framework for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The freelancer will design and implement access control and data integrity mechanisms, prototype solutions using traffic simulators (e.g., SUMO) or edge hardware (e.g., Raspberry Pi, ESP32), and evaluate performance across key metrics such as latency, reliability, scalability, and resource usage. Final deliverables include the source code, performance analysis, and comprehensive project documentation. Required Qualification: · Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, IoT, Cybersecurity, or Blockchain Technologies. · Prior experience with Distributed Ledger Technologies, especially IOTA. · Strong academic writing and documentation skills. Tools to be Familiar: · DLT Platforms: IOTA Tangle, IOTA Streams. · Programming Languages: Python, C++, JavaScript. · Simulation & Hardware: SUMO (Simulation of Urban MObility), Raspberry Pi, ESP32. · Data Analysis Tools: Python (NumPy, pandas), R. Required Experience · 2+ years of hands-on experience in blockchain/DLT projects. · Demonstrated experience with IOTA or similar DLTs in IoT or ITS applications. · Practical understanding of ITS systems and data integrity/security challenges. · Experience with integrating DLTs into edge or real-time systems. Required Knowledge/Skills · Strong understanding of IOTA architecture, Tangle, MAM/Streams. · Familiarity with IoT security and decentralized access control mechanisms. · Understanding of network scalability, latency evaluation, and edge computing. · Problem-solving, research methodology, and technical reporting skills. Job Description The freelancer will be responsible for developing and evaluating a decentralized communication framework using distributed ledger technologies. This includes designing secure data exchange protocols, implementing access control and data integrity mechanisms, and prototyping the solution in simulated or real-world environments. The role involves assessing system performance based on metrics such as latency, scalability, reliability, and resource efficiency. The researcher will also be expected to prepare detailed documentation, share regular progress updates, and deliver a comprehensive final report.
