About The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on and visionary

Founding Engineering Manager

to lead the development of our cutting-edge Voice AI platform. This is a foundational role—ideal for a seasoned backend engineer who thrives in high-impact environments and wants to shape both product and engineering culture from the ground up.You’ll be at the heart of engineering leadership—scaling infrastructure, driving architectural decisions, mentoring early team members, and collaborating with AI researchers and customer-facing teams to bring high-performance AI products to life. Your work will directly influence mission-critical deployments for major clients in BFSI, fintech, and other regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Execution

Architect, build, and maintain scalable backend services that power our real-time voice AI systems.Make core decisions around system architecture, infrastructure, performance optimization, and security.Write clean, efficient, and production-grade code—primarily in Go or Python.🔹

Team Building & Mentorship

Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team from the ground up.Set best practices around code quality, deployment pipelines, testing, and documentation.🔹

Product & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with co-founders, AI researchers, product managers, and customer success teams to align engineering with business goals.Translate complex technical requirements into fast, reliable, and secure systems.🔹

Reliability & Compliance

Ensure platform uptime, security, and compliance—especially for enterprise clients in regulated industries.Own CI/CD pipelines, observability stack, and infrastructure resilience.

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You

Have 5–10 years of backend development experience, with a strong foundation in scalable systems and microservices.Have previously taken a backend system from MVP to production for 100+ users (or more).Take pride in elegant system design, clean architecture, and solving complex infra challenges.Enjoy remaining hands-on while also leading and mentoring engineers.Are excited about building something from scratch in a high-ownership environment.

Bonus Points If You

Have experience working with AI/LLM/NLP or voice-based interfaces.Have built tech for regulated industries like BFSI, fintech, or healthcare.Have been part of an early-stage startup and understand what it takes to scale.
