Food Tech Intern - FMCG Plant

Department: Operations / Industrial Engineering – Food Division
Location: Ghansoli
Duration: 3-6 months

We are looking for a highly motivated Food tech – Intern to support our Time & Motion Study and Manning Analysis initiatives in the Food Division at Fazlani. The role is ideal for recent engineering graduates who are analytical, hands-on, and eager to gain practical experience in process improvement and industrial efficiency in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed Time & Motion Studies across key production lines to capture task-level data.
• Observe and document work processes, material movement, cycle times, idle times, and operator performance.
• Analyze collected data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for productivity improvement.

Support Manning Analysis by:

• Mapping current manpower deployment across shifts.
• Assessing optimal headcount required for each operation/station.
• Recommending improvements for workforce productivity and line balancing.
• Create standard operating time documents and contribute to updating work instructions.
• Collaborate with production supervisors, line managers, and HR for data validation.
• Present findings with visual dashboards, charts, and reports.
• Maintain strict adherence to plant safety and hygiene norms while on the shop floor.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Industrial / Production / Food Technology Engineering
• Experience: Fresher or up to 1 year of internship/project experience in manufacturing or operations preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, basic formulas) and PowerPoint
• Exposure to lean manufacturing, TPM, or IE principles (preferred)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams
• Willingness to work on the shop floor and in shifts if required
