Job Description

Fleet Team Lead

Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and motivate a team of delivery partners to ensure high performance and compliance.
Monitor day-to-day delivery operations and resolve on-ground issues quickly.
Plan and implement effective
route optimization strategies
to reduce turnaround time and fuel costs.
Track and improve key delivery metrics:
OTD (On-Time Delivery)
, partner availability, distance covered, etc.
Work closely with internal ops and tech teams to enhance logistics efficiency.
Identify, source, and onboard new delivery partners
to ensure consistent supply for growing order volume.
Conduct training and performance evaluations for delivery personnel.
Maintain accurate records of fleet performance, attendance, incentives, and escalations.
Ensure delivery vehicles and equipment (if applicable) are in optimal condition.
Provide detailed operational reports to management with actionable insights.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelors degree in
Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations
, or a relevant field.
2–5 years of experience in
fleet management, last-mile logistics, or delivery ops
, preferably in
e-commerce or grocery
domains.
Proven ability to lead teams and manage on-ground operations.
Knowledge of
route planning, geo-fencing, and fleet tracking tools
.
Strong communication, people management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyze delivery data, draw insights, and take corrective actions.
Comfortable with fieldwork and working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of
partner acquisition and engagement
is a strong plus.
