Fleet Supervisor

As a Fleet Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization's vehicle fleet. Your main objective will be to ensure that the fleet is safe, cost-efficient, well-maintained, and compliant with regulations. Here are the key responsibilities you will be handling: - Supervise, coordinate, and monitor the activities of drivers and fleet staff. - Ensure vehicles are regularly serviced, inspected, and repaired to maintain safety and performance. - Track vehicle usage, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records. - Develop schedules and assign drivers/vehicles for trips, deliveries, or routes. - Monitor driver behavior including speed, route compliance, and safety protocols. - Manage costs related to fuel, repairs, insurance, and leasing. - Ensure compliance with transport laws, safety standards, and company policies. - Handle breakdowns, accidents, and emergency repairs promptly. - Train and guide drivers on safe driving practices and company procedures. - Prepare reports on fleet performance, costs, and utilization for management. In terms of qualifications, you are expected to have: - Experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation. - Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and mechanical systems. - Strong organizational and scheduling skills. - Ability to lead and manage a team of drivers. - Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and fleet management software. - Problem-solving and quick decision-making ability. - Good communication and reporting skills.
