Fire Project Planning Engineer

Job Responsibility

Project Planning and Scheduling: Developing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines for fire safety systems implementation.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conducting thorough risk assessments to identify potential fire hazards and developing mitigation strategies.

Design and Implementation: Overseeing the design and implementation of fire suppression and detection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and emergency lighting.

Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring that all fire safety systems and procedures adhere to relevant local, state, and national codes and standards.

Budget Management: Managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Quality Assurance and Testing: Conducting quality inspections and tests on installed fire protection equipment to ensure proper functionality.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Tracking project progress, identifying potential issues, and reporting on project status to stakeholders.

Team Leadership: Leading project teams, facilitating communication, and providing guidance to team members.

Post-Project Evaluation: Conducting post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement in future projects.

Skills Required:

• Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
• In-depth understanding of fire safety systems, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex problems and make sound decisions in a timely manner.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on project requirements.
• Proficiency in relevant software
• In essence, a Fire Project Planning Engineer acts as a key link between the design and execution phases of fire safety projects, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations.
