Job Description

Role Overview: As an Assistant Manager in Financial Reporting and Financial Statement Preparation at a renewable energy business, your role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and transparency of financial information. You will be responsible for managing the consolidation of financial data, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. This position offers you a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the renewable energy business. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. - Ensure financial reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with relevant accounting standards such as IFRS or GAAP. - Present financial reports to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities. - Manage the consolidation of financial data from various business units, subsidiaries, and joint ventures. - Implement and maintain consolidation systems and processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency. - Reconcile intercompany transactions and eliminate any discrepancies. - Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators. - Lead, support, and manage external audits conducted by independent auditors. - Ensure proper documentation during the audit process and address audit findings. - Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. - Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making. - Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and reporting requirements in the renewable energy industry. - Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and stay updated with industry-specific regulations. - Continuously assess and improve financial reporting and consolidation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. - Implement best practices and automation tools to streamline reporting procedures. - Assist in the development of financial forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term financial plans. - Collaborate with department heads to gather input and provide guidance on budget adherence. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus. - Minimum of X years of experience in financial reporting, financial analysis, and audit coordination. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including IFRS and GAAP. - Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting. - Excellent communication and presentation skills to interact with senior management and external auditors. - Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Experience in process improvement, automation, and forecasting is desirable.
