Job Description

As a Financial Controller in our manufacturing company, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations. Your primary duties will include managing inventory control, driving cost improvement initiatives, preparing budgets, conducting variance analysis, and delivering timely and accurate MIS reports. Your role is crucial in supporting operational efficiency and strategic decision-making across the organization. To qualify for this position, you should hold a CA or ICWA qualification with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setup. You should have a strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management, proficiency in ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel, an analytical mindset with attention to detail, and excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Your key responsibilities will include: Inventory Control: - Monitoring and ensuring the accuracy of inventory records. - Implementing effective inventory management systems and controls. - Conducting periodic inventory audits and reconciling discrepancies. - Collaborating with production and warehouse teams to optimize inventory turnover. Cost Improvement & Control: - Analyzing current manufacturing costs and identifying areas for improvement. - Developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives. - Monitoring cost structures and recommending process improvements. - Supporting continuous improvement initiatives from a financial standpoint. Budget Preparation & Forecasting: - Leading the annual budgeting process and preparing rolling forecasts. - Coordinating with department heads to gather input and align budgets with strategic goals. Variance Analysis: - Conducting detailed variance analysis and investigating significant deviations. - Presenting findings to management with actionable recommendations. MIS Reporting: - Preparing and delivering financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. - Generating customized MIS reports for management review. - Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with internal policies. Financial Oversight & Controls: - Maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets. - Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. - Overseeing day-to-day finance operations including AP/AR, GL, and cash flow management. Cost Audit & Compliance: - Leading the preparation and execution of cost audits as required. - Ensuring compliance with cost accounting standards and cost audit requirements. - Reviewing and validating cost records, statements, and reconciliations. - Identifying areas of inefficiency and suggesting cost control measures. Team Management & Development: - Supervising and mentoring finance team members. - Fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional development.
