Job Description

As an Advisory (BPO) Manager, your role involves the following responsibilities: - Reviewing various accounting functions on US clients" files, including detailed analysis of the balance sheet and income statement. - Reviewing workpapers, accounting schedules, and management reports prepared by the Staff based on clients" needs as part of month-end closing procedures. - Taking a lead on projects such as accounting clean-up, books rebuild, software migration, account adjustments, and providing necessary information to other departments. - Reviewing the work of Staff and offering constructive feedback. - Learning new software and developing technological skills required for accounting and financial reporting. - Planning and managing Staff's work schedules. - Assisting Staff in developing their technical and professional skills through proper guidance. - Adhering to deadlines of assigned tasks and keeping the Partner updated on the progress. - Self-reviewing work for accuracy and completeness to ensure a quality product before submission to the Partner. - Preparation and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for assigned tasks and updating them regularly. - Adhering to internal policies, procedures, and controls. - Working with both India-based and US-based staff to collaborate on performing transactional, technical, and reporting activities. Qualifications required: - Chartered Accountant/CPA with 6+ years of experience OR Masters with 8+ years of experience in US accounting. - Experience in reviewing technical accounting matters and period-end close documentation. - Strong conceptual accounting knowledge with the ability to apply US GAAP. - Tech-savvy and familiar with software/applications like Excel, Word, QBO, Xero, SAGE, NetSuite, Yardi, etc. - Strong financial analysis, modeling, and valuation skills. - Qualitative and quantitative research and analytical abilities. Soft skills required: - Good written and spoken communication skills. - Strong time management and organizational skills. - Ability to lead a team of up to 10 people. - Self-starter, highly collaborative, creative, and outgoing. - Excellent work ethic.
