Finance Director

As the Finance Director at our company, your role will be crucial in leading and developing a high-performing finance team to ensure robust financial governance, accurate reporting, and continuous improvement in financial operations. You will closely partner with executive leadership, business units, and global shared service centers to provide financial insights, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic initiatives. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Financial Reporting & Analysis:** - Oversee preparation of consolidated financial statements under U.S. GAAP for executive management and group reporting. - Analyse operating results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders. - Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and relevant regulations. - **Operational Finance:** - Partner with global shared service centers (GCCs) to ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency of financial operations. - **Controls & Compliance:** - Design, implement, and continuously enhance an effective system of internal controls over financial reporting. - Coordinate external and internal audits, ensuring timely completion with minimal or no audit adjustments. - Maintain compliance with corporate, statutory, and tax reporting requirements. - **Business Partnering & Communication:** - Provide financial leadership for new business initiatives, process transformations, system implementations, acquisitions, and divestitures. - **Leadership & Development:** - Lead, mentor, and develop a cohesive, high-performing finance team. - Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development. - Drive operational excellence through process standardization and automation. **Required Skills & Competencies:** - Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and corporate financial reporting. - Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop teams. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. - Advanced MS Excel skills; proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint. - Hands-on experience with ERP and consolidation tools (Oracle, NetSuite, HFM, OneStream, etc.). - Experience in multinational, multi-entity, or shared services environments. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. **Qualifications & Experience:** - Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA). - Minimum 17+ years of post-qualification experience, with at least 7+ years in senior leadership roles within controllership or financial operations. - Experience in shared services, captives, or global capability centers (GCCs) is mandatory. - Proven track record in financial governance, system implementation, and business transformation initiatives. In this role, you will be measured by the timely and accurate completion of monthly close, consolidation, and reporting, clean audit results with no material audit adjustments other than valuation-related provisions, resolution of accounting and compliance issues proactively, measurable improvement in process efficiency and automation, demonstrated employee development and succession readiness within the finance team, strong and collaborative relationships with global and local stakeholders, and evidence of continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives.,
