In this role as Assistant Manager Finance and Accounting at the direct-to-consumer lifestyle brand, your primary responsibility will be to support the finance team in managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and optimizing the company's financial health. You will need to be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, have a solid understanding of accounting principles, and work cross-functionally to support business growth. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements following applicable accounting principles and regulatory requirements. - Manage day-to-day accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, and posting to the general ledger. - Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and ensure the availability of funds for operational needs. - Support the preparation and management of budgets and financial forecasts aligned with business goals. - Ensure timely and accurate filing of taxes such as GST, TDS, and other statutory taxes, and coordinate with tax consultants. - Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit queries. - Conduct variance analysis, provide insights into financial performance, and suggest areas for improvement to senior management. - Work with vendors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations. - Continuously review and suggest improvements to accounting processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. As an ideal candidate for this role, you should have: - 3+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a fast-paced D2C or e-commerce environment. - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. - Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. - Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities and requirements. - Strong ethical standards, ability to maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive financial data. - Collaborative mindset with a focus on working together to achieve the company's financial goals. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications such as CA (Inter), CMA, or CPA are a plus. - Proven experience in handling accounts, financial reporting, and compliance in a growing business environment. - Strong understanding of Indian accounting principles, taxation, and legal requirements. - Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other relevant statutory requirements. - Experience in handling audits, both internal and external, with efficient management of documentation and queries.
