Finance Accounting Intern

Role Description

This is an on-site internship role for a Finance Accounting Intern located in Chennai. The Finance Accounting Intern will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and analysis of financial statements, maintaining financial records, and learning to use accounting software. The intern will also help with various finance-related tasks and support the team with day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including bookkeeping and data entry.
• Support in preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Work with invoices, receipts, and payment records to ensure accuracy.
• Assist the finance team in GST, TDS, and other compliance-related tasks.
• Maintain organized financial records and support audits when required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on finance-related queries.

Requirements

• Pursuing or recently completed

  B.Com / BBA / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter

  or related field.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and MS Excel.
• Familiarity with Zoho Books (preferred)
• Fluency in Tamil (spoken) for effective communication.   
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work from the Chennai office.
