Field Service Coordinator

This position offers a day shift schedule, Monday to Friday. As a Service Coordinator at James River Equipment, your primary responsibilities will include: - Coordinating with service technicians, foreman, manager, and parts department to complete customer service work authorizations. - Providing cost estimates or quotations to customers as needed. - Identifying repair needs with service technicians and communicating job start times and completion dates to customers. - Making service work recommendations based on technicians" inspections and repair findings. - Assigning estimated repair times to work order segments and assisting in scheduling technicians. - Approving technicians" service reports and conducting final inspections. - Reviewing invoices with customers before closing work orders and addressing any additional questions. - Invoicing customers based on internal and warranty work. - Assisting the service manager with administrative and business duties as required. - Training service writers within the location or region when necessary. Requirements: - High School diploma or equivalent experience. - 3 or more years of experience as a service writer or service advisor in a related industry preferred. - Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. - Knowledge of Service Department Operations. - Ability to multitask, follow up with customers, and handle customer volume effectively. - Understanding of heavy equipment technology is advantageous. Physical Demands: - Service Coordinators must frequently perform machine inspections, requiring some physical effort on a daily basis. - Ability to move on/under machines for inspections and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted. - Occasional visits to agriculture/construction sites with irregular terrain and hazardous conditions. Working Conditions: - Regular visits to service and repair shops with potential exposure to dirt, grease, fumes, loud noises, and other hazards. - Adherence to strict safety procedures, equipment safety, and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines. Travel: - Minimal travel required.
