Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all permitting activities for fiber deployment projects across multiple regions.
Interpret and apply local, state, and national regulations related to fiber infrastructure.
Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure permit requirements are integrated into project plans.
Track and manage permit applications, timelines, and renewals using internal tools and databases.
Resolve permitting issues and delays by proactively engaging with stakeholders and proposing solutions.
Maintain up-to-date documentation of permitting guidelines, processes, and regulatory changes.
Train and support engineering teams on permitting best practices and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
3-6 years of experience in fiber network engineering, with at least 3 years focused on permitting.
Strong understanding of fiber deployment methods (FTTx, backbone, metro) and associated regulatory frameworks.
Proven experience working with local authorities, DOTs, municipalities, and utility providers.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.
Familiarity with NetX,Bluebeam,IKE Office, QuickPole ,GIS tools(QGIS), AutoCAD, and permitting platforms (e.g., Accela, ePermit).

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree or certifications in project management or regulatory affairs.
Experience in multi-state or pan-India fiber rollouts.
Knowledge of environmental, safety, and zoning regulations affecting fiber deployment.
