Job Description

The F&B Captain is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the service staff to ensure guests receive efficient, courteous, and professional service. The Captain plays a key role in maintaining high standards of food and beverage service and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service
  • Greet guests courteously and ensure excellent service throughout their dining experience.
  • Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure all guests are satisfied with food, beverages, and overall service.
  • Team Supervision
  • Supervise and guide waiters, runners, and other service staff during service hours.
  • Assign tables and duties to the service team.
  • Ensure staff adhere to grooming, hygiene, and service standards.
  • Service Operations
  • Coordinate between kitchen and service areas for smooth food service.
  • Check table setup, cleanliness, and presentation before service.
  • Take and confirm food and beverage orders accurately.
  • Ensure correct billing and payment handling.
  • Training and Development
  • Train new service staff on service techniques, menu knowledge, and guest interaction.
  • Conduct briefings before each shift to communicate special items, promotions, or events.
  • Inventory and Control
  • Ensure sufficient stock of service materials (cutlery, crockery, glassware, etc.).
  • Report shortages, breakages, and maintenance issues to the manager.
  • Assist in monthly inventory and stock checks.
  • Compliance
  • Follow all safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and F&B regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality preferred.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in F&B service, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage service techniques and POS systems.
  • Pleasant personality with attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
