Job Title: F&B Captain

Department: Food & Beverage Service

Reports To: Restaurant Supervisor / Restaurant Manager

Job Summary:

The F&B Captain is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the restaurant staff to ensure efficient service and high standards of guest satisfaction. The role involves assisting in daily operations, maintaining service quality, and ensuring smooth coordination between the kitchen and service team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of waiters/waitresses and other service staff.
  • Ensure smooth service operations and maintain high standards of guest service.
  • Greet guests, take orders when required, and ensure that their dining experience meets expectations.
  • Check table settings, cleanliness, and overall restaurant presentation before service.
  • Assist in training, guiding, and motivating the service team.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
  • Handle guest complaints or feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in preparing duty rosters, assigning tasks, and managing staff schedules.
  • Monitor stock levels of linen, crockery, cutlery, and condiments, and coordinate replenishment.
  • Ensure adherence to hygiene, health, and safety standards in the dining area.
  • Supervise billing and cash handling procedures.
  • Assist in organizing and executing special events or banquet functions when required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Food & Beverage Service, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or captain role.
  • Strong knowledge of F&B service standards, menu presentation, and upselling techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Customer-oriented, proactive, and detail-focused.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Education:

  • Minimum 12th standard or equivalent.
  • Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or related field preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
