Job Title: Senior Fashion Faculty

Location: Lakhotia College of Design, Hyderabad

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Fashion Faculty who can lead and guide the Fashion Design department, mentor faculty and students, and uphold the academic and creative excellence of Lakhotia College of Design. The ideal candidate must possess strong subject expertise across all major areas of fashion design, along with leadership qualities and a passion for teaching.

Key Responsibilities: Academic Leadership & Coordination

• Provide academic and creative leadership to the Fashion Design department.
• Coordinate curriculum planning, subject scheduling, faculty guidance, and academic improvements.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality teaching and maintain academic standards.
• Introduce innovative teaching methods, industry practices, and new-age curriculum upgrades.

Teaching & Subject Expertise

Must be able to teach and handle major subjects such as:

• Fashion Illustration
• Pattern Making & Garment Construction
• Textile Science & Fabric Study
• Fashion CAD (Illustrator, Photoshop, CLO 3D preferred)
• Draping
• Fashion Styling
• Surface Ornamentation
• Fashion Marketing, Merchandising & Branding
• Portfolio Development
• Collection Development & Final Jury Mentorship

Student Mentorship

• Guide students in practical work, design projects, and final collections.
• Provide academic counseling, career guidance, and individual mentoring.
• Supervise internships, industry projects, and exhibitions.

Industry Collaboration

• Collaborate with designers, brands, and industry experts for workshops, masterclasses, and events.
• Assist in forming industry partnerships for placements and internships.

Quality Assurance & Development

• Monitor classroom performance, student progress, and faculty output.
• Contribute to the development of academic policies, events, and department activities.
• Support in planning fashion shows, exhibitions, seminars, and college events.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• Minimum 6–10 years of teaching and/or industry experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical excellence.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in fashion software is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹10,773.44 - ₹37,449.69 per month
