Job Summary: The Fashion Design Faculty member is responsible for teaching, mentoring, and guiding students in fashion design and related disciplines. The role involves developing creative course content, conducting lectures and practical sessions, supervising student projects, and staying updated with industry trends to ensure students receive current and relevant education in fashion and design. Key Responsibilities: Teaching & Curriculum Development: Develop and deliver lectures, workshops, and studio classes in areas such as garment construction, pattern making, fashion illustration, draping, textiles, CAD, and fashion marketing. Prepare detailed lesson plans, assignments, and assessments aligned with program objectives. Supervise student design projects, portfolios, and final collections. Integrate technology and industry trends into the curriculum (e.g., sustainable fashion, digital fashion, AI in design). Student Engagement & Mentorship: Provide academic and creative guidance to students. Evaluate student performance through assignments, practicals, and presentations. Encourage innovation, originality, and professionalism in student work. Qualifications: Education: Master’s degree (M.Des / M.F.A / M.Sc) in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, or related field. Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related discipline is mandatory. Ph.D. preferred (for higher academic ranks). Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of teaching or relevant industry experience (fashion design, apparel production, merchandising, or textile design). Experience in academic curriculum development preferred. Skills: Strong knowledge of design principles, garment construction, textiles, and current fashion trends. Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop CorelDRAW, etc.). Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
