Position Overview

Skills & Competencies

• Must hold a degree in Agriculture or allied sciences (e.g., B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Sc. Horticulture, B.Sc. Agronomy, B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering, etc.).
• Postgraduate degree (M.Sc. Agriculture / MBA in Agribusiness) will be an added advantage.
• Good Communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory.
• Strong knowledge of local crops, soil types, and farming practices.
• Ability to conduct field demonstrations and training
  

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze farmer data including contact details, land area, crop specifics, and Khasra details.
• Utilize collected data to identify areas for enhancement and implement strategies to boost productivity.
  

WUA Activity

• Facilitate farmer elections to select Water User Association (WUA) members in conjunction with departmental support.
• Conduct data mapping exercises for project alignment and propose recommendations for WUA enhancement. Farmer Engagement:
• Act as a point of contact, encourage stronger relationships between the company and farmers.
• Regularly visit farms to understand their needs, challenges, and provide support.
• Conduct informative training sessions to educate farmers on best agricultural practices and new technologies.
  

Agricultural Advisory

• Provide expert advice on crop management, pest control, and soil health.
• Collaborate with farmers to develop personalized agricultural plans to optimize yields.
• Stay informed about the latest industry trends and innovations to share with farmers.
  

Problem Resolution

• Address and resolve issues faced by farmers promptly and effectively.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of any operational challenges.
  

Market Knowledge

• Stay informed about market demands, pricing trends, and potential buyers.
• Assist farmers in aligning their crops with market demands for improved profitability.
