Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

Factory Operations Manager

to oversee end-to-end

production, budgeting, quality control, and site leadership

within the

food processing sector

. This role requires a

strategic leader

with a strong background in

operations management, process optimization, and team leadership

.

Key Responsibilities:

Budgeting, Productivity & Yield Management

  • Develop and manage

    operational budgets

    for the factory unit.
  • Oversee the

    entire production cycle

    from raw material intake to finished product packaging.
  • Implement production plans to optimize

    output, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness

    .
  • Monitor

    production schedules, machine efficiency, and production costs

    against targets.

Maintenance & Safety

  • Oversee

    preventive maintenance schedules

    to ensure smooth equipment operations.
  • Work with procurement teams on

    maintenance and upgrade projects

    .
  • Enforce

    safety protocols and compliance standards

    to create a safe working environment.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for

    process optimization and cost savings

    without compromising quality.
  • Implement

    best practices and innovative production techniques

    .
  • Drive efficiency improvements across the production process.

Quality Control

  • Implement and enforce

    quality control measures

    across the production value chain.
  • Ensure compliance with

    food safety regulations and industry certifications

    .

Site Leadership & Culture Building

  • Engage with

    cross-functional teams

    (Logistics, Quality, EHS, HR, Finance) for efficient operations.
  • Foster a

    high-performance culture

    through structured reviews and feedback mechanisms.
  • Lead and manage a diverse team, providing

    training and mentorship

    to enhance productivity.
  • Oversee

    industrial relations and external stakeholder management

    .

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree

    in

    Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering

    (Master s in Operations Management is a plus).
  • 12+ years of managerial experience

    in

    pulses (foodgrain) processing

    or the broader

    food processing sector

    .
  • Strong understanding of

    food safety regulations, quality standards, production automation

    .
  • Experience in

    industrial relations, external stakeholder management

    , and leading

    diverse workforce teams

    .
  • Demonstrated ability to

    develop and manage high-performing teams

    .
  • Adaptive leadership style with

    situational awareness and problem-solving abilities

    .
