Job SummaryThe Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and safety of the organization’s physical infrastructure. This role ensures that all facilities are functional, compliant with regulations, and conducive to a productive work environment. The Facility Manager will coordinate maintenance activities, manage vendor relationships, and implement cost-effective solutions to enhance facility operations. Key ResponsibilitiesFacility Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment, ensuring timely repairs and preventative maintenance. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including OSHA, fire codes, and local ordinances. Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors, including janitorial, HVAC, and security services. Budget Management: Develop and manage the facilities budget, optimizing costs while maintaining quality standards. Team Supervision: Lead and mentor facilities staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment. Project Management: Plan and execute facility-related projects, such as renovations or system upgrades, within scope, budget, and timeline. Skills: Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.). Excellent project management and organizational skills. Proficiency in budgeting and financial analysis. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards.
