AC Technician

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced AC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge and expertise in repairing various types of air conditioning units, including split, cassette, and duct systems. Additionally, the candidate must be proficient in servicing and maintaining AC units to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Responsibilities: 1. Diagnose and repair malfunctioning AC units, including but not limited to split, cassette, and duct systems. 2. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, lubricating moving parts, and replacing filters to ensure AC units operate efficiently. 3. Perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues with AC systems, such as leaks, electrical problems, and mechanical failures. 4. Install new AC units according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. 5. Test installed AC systems to ensure proper functioning and performance. 6. Provide recommendations to customers regarding AC unit upgrades, repairs, or replacements. 7. Keep accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and installations performed. 8. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on AC systems. 9. Stay updated on advancements in HVAC technology, tools, and techniques through ongoing training and professional development. Requirements: 1. Proven experience as an AC Technician or similar role, with a minimum of 2 years in the field. 2. Proficiency in repairing various types of AC units, including split, cassette, and duct systems. 3. Strong understanding of HVAC principles, components, and systems. 4. Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot issues effectively. 5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 6. Solid understanding of electrical systems and wiring diagrams. 7. Familiarity with refrigeration principles and practices. 8. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. 9. Good communication and customer service skills. 10. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications: 1. HVAC certification or relevant vocational training. 2. Prior experience working with commercial and residential AC systems. 3. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to HVAC systems. 4. Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment for AC repair and maintenance.
