Fabrication Production Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Production Engineer to oversee and optimize the production processes in our fabrication unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing manufacturing activities to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and timely production. This role requires a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, production planning, quality control, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, schedule, and monitor daily fabrication operations to meet production targets and deadlines.

Supervise and coordinate activities of production workers and technicians involved in cutting, welding, bending, assembling, and finishing.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality protocols, and production procedures.

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications for fabrication.

Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.

Coordinate with design, quality, maintenance, and procurement teams for smooth workflow.

Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and consumables and coordinate with supply chain for timely replenishment.

Troubleshoot fabrication-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure products meet required specifications and quality standards.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S within the fabrication shop.

Maintain documentation including daily reports, production records, and performance metrics.

Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and shop floor staff.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.

5–7 years of hands-on experience in a fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of fabrication processes such as welding, cutting, machining, and forming.

Familiarity with manufacturing tools like CNC machines, welding equipment

Proficient in reading technical drawings.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and team management abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
