Job Description

Job Title: Executive - ProcurementLocation: Ambasamudram

Role Purpose:

To handle the strategic sourcing & transaction in Indirect Procurement who will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers for a range of indirect categories including civil, mechanical and electrical works, capital expenditures (CAPEX), maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), and spares. The role supports cost optimization, supplier performance, and compliance in line with company objectives .

Principal Accountabilities:


  • Supplier Management

    - Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery.

  • Purchase Order Processing

    - Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.

  • Cost Optimization

    - Negotiate pricing and payment terms to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.

  • Market Research

    - Monitor market trends and conduct supplier benchmarking to support strategic sourcing decisions.

  • New product development

    - Coordinate with vendors for development of new/alternative products.

  • Contract Management

    - Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts for sub-contractors to ensure legal compliance and operational efficiency.

  • Compliance & Documentation

    - Ensure adherence to procurement policies, regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records.

  • e Auction

    scheduling for Packaging & Make Up Materials Waste- Issuing sales contract to buyer as per compliances.

  • Risk Management

    - Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including delays, quality issues or vendor failures.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration

    - Work closely with Finance, Supply Chain and Quality teams to align with business needs.

  • Reporting & Analysis

    - Generate procurement KPI reports and analyse data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

Education, Qualifications and Experience


  • Minimum 5 -7 years experience in sourcing and vendor management

  • Should have good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge in MS Office Excel and PowerPoint

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for civil, mechanical, electrical, CAPEX, MRO, and spare parts categories. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and service standards. Conduct market research, benchmarking, and supplier.

  • Prepare and manage RFQs/RFPs and tendering processes for large-scale projects and services. Lead commercial negotiations and finalize contracts, ensuring alignment with legal and compliance requirements

  • Understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Processes

Desirable


  • BE/ B. Tech or MBA

  • Data analytics using Power BI or Tableau.

  • Experience in any Manufacturing industry
