Job Description

As a Pricing Specialist at House of Shipping, you will play a crucial role in supporting Global trade functions with FWAQ Approvals and all Pricing related processes. Your main responsibilities will include: - Understanding types of containers, vessels, and movement of containers to provide accurate information on their location and status. - Following port-wise cost matrix rates (MRG) as per guidance from Trade, including SAP MRG rate card maintenance, request, and process governance. - Supporting the SRR process by handling SRR Requests from agents and ensuring adherence to the process flow. - Collaborating with agents to file the FMC contract for US shipments. - Assisting in the Manifest (AMS/ENS) process and meeting its requirements. - Generating reports on Pricing Requests, Detention & Demurrage freetime, and other relevant areas. - Providing feedback to Trade on potential contract possibilities upon price confirmation. - Managing and redirecting potential sales leads to the commercial team or country agents. - Supporting the Documentation team with different container movement documents. In terms of background and experience, the ideal candidate should have: - Minimum two years of experience in a shipping/NVOCC environment. - Experience working with SAP or any other Transport Management System would be advantageous. - Knowledge of pricing, customer service, and budgeting/reporting processes. Key competencies and skills required for this role include: - Strong time management and organizational skills. - Analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure and tight work deadlines. - Ability to handle customer enquiries professionally through chat interface. - Excellent proficiency in Excel/Word.
