Event Planner

Job Title: Event Planner Department: Sales & Marketing / Events Reports To: Sales & Marketing Manager / Banquet Manager / General Manager Supervises: Event Coordinators (if applicable) Job Summary: The Event Planner is responsible for organizing and coordinating all aspects of events hosted at the hotel, such as weddings, corporate meetings, banquets, and private parties. This role involves client interaction, planning logistics, managing vendor coordination, and ensuring events are executed seamlessly. Key Responsibilities: Meet with clients to understand their event requirements, budget, and preferences. Plan event layouts, menus, themes, and schedules in coordination with F&B, housekeeping, and other departments. Coordinate with vendors for decoration, entertainment, audiovisual equipment, and other services. Prepare detailed event proposals, budgets, and timelines. Oversee event setup and execution, ensuring all arrangements align with client expectations. Act as the main point of contact for clients before and during the event. Resolve last-minute issues or changes professionally and efficiently. Conduct post-event evaluations and ensure client satisfaction. Maintain updated records of event planning activities, contracts, and payments. Promote hotel event services and packages to potential clients. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field. 1-2 years of experience in event planning, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment. Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Creative flair and a keen eye for detail. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances. Proficiency in MS Office and event management tools/software. Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per event needs.
