Role & responsibilities

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Events Executive to join our corporate team in a third-party role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of corporate events, including planning, coordination, and execution. This role requires a professional with a strong background in event management, particularly in working with hotels and event management companies, to ensure seamless event delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Planning and Management:
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute corporate events, including meetings, conferences, and staff appreciation events
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand event objectives and requirements
  • Evaluate event performance and provide post-event analysis to measure success and identify areas for improvement
  • Vendor and Venue Management:
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with hotels, third-party venues, and event management companies
  • Conduct site searches using preferred partners to identify suitable venues
  • Send RFPs, secure venue options, and finalize contracts
  • Budget and Resource Management:
  • Assess the cost, time, and resources required for events, ensuring alignment with company budgets and goals
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure event objectives are met and investment value is maximized
  • Establish timelines and creative decks to align with corporate strategies
  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving:
  • Make ad hoc adjustments to event plans in response to changes in company strategy or external factors

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelors degree in hospitality management, Event Planning, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience:
  • 5 to 6 years of prior experience in event management, preferably with an events company or in the hospitality industry
  • Proven experience in managing corporate events and working with third-party venues
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office
  • Attributes:
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and vendors
  • Knowledge of current trends in event management

Work Environment

This role involves working in a dynamic corporate environment, managing events that range from small boardroom meetings to large-scale conferences. The candidate will frequently liaise with external vendors and venues, requiring travel and flexibility to adapt to varying event demands.
