Job Description

An Automotive Dealership Evaluator inspects, diagnoses, and assesses used vehicles to determine their mechanical condition, external damage, and market value, providing detailed reports and facilitating negotiations. Key responsibilities include vehicle inspections, damage identification, performing test drives, conducting market research, and preparing accurate pricing evaluations for procurement or customer transactions. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, good communication skills, and often involves a valid driving license and a two-wheeler for field travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of pre-owned vehicles, both exterior and interior, identifying any damages, wear, or mechanical issues.
  • Diagnostics & Testing: Perform test drives and basic diagnostics to identify underlying mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings and providing accurate pricing evaluations.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about current market trends, pricing, and demand for used cars to ensure accurate valuations.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders, addressing concerns and explaining the valuation process and offers.
  • Negotiation: Engage in fair negotiations with customers, based on the vehicle's condition and market value, to reach a mutually beneficial agreement.
  • Coordination: Liaise with internal teams, such as operations and procurement, to ensure smooth processing and timely reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in car evaluation, auto mechanic work, or a related role.
  • Education: A Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or ITI certification is often required.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of car systems, basic mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform basic diagnostics.
  • Licenses & Transportation: A valid four-wheeler driving license and the ownership of a two-wheeler for field travel are often mandatory.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate records

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
