ETP Operator/Incharge

The ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) Operator/Incharge will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the plant’s wastewater treatment system to ensure compliance with statutory norms and VBL’s environmental management standards. The role requires hands-on expertise in handling biological, chemical, and physical treatment processes, ensuring smooth, efficient, and environmentally safe operation of the ETP.

Key Responsibilities:1. Operations and Monitoring:

• Operate and monitor all ETP units including equalization tanks, aeration systems, clarifiers, sludge handling systems, and tertiary treatment units.
• Maintain optimum plant parameters like pH, DO, MLSS, and flow rate for effective treatment.
• Record operational data, flow readings, and chemical consumption on a daily basis.
• Ensure zero discharge and maintain treated water quality as per PCB norms.

2. Maintenance and Upkeep:

• Conduct routine maintenance of pumps, blowers, valves, and pipelines.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper calibration of measuring instruments and sensors.

3. Environmental Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with CPCB/SPCB environmental norms and documentation.
• Maintain records of inlet and outlet water analysis reports, sludge disposal logs, and consent documents.
• Assist in third-party environmental audits and statutory inspections.

4. Process Optimization and Safety:

• Monitor plant efficiency and suggest process improvements for cost-effective operation.
• Ensure safe chemical handling and proper use of PPE.
• Maintain housekeeping and hygiene standards in and around the ETP area.

5. Coordination and Reporting:

• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly ETP operation reports to the Utilities/EHS Manager.
• Coordinate with laboratory staff for sample analysis and reporting.
• Report any deviations, leaks, or operational abnormalities immediately.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹27,074.92 per month
