Role Overview:

ETL Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain
ETL jobs
.
Collaborate with
business analysts, solution architects, and data modelers
to translate business requirements into efficient ETL workflows.
Develop complex
SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation scripts
for various databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.).
Perform
data validation, quality checks, and performance tuning
for ETL processes and SQL queries.
Support
data migration
,
batch processing
, and
real-time data integration
initiatives.
Create and maintain
technical documentation
, including data mappings, job flows, and operational guides.
Work closely with
cross-functional teams
to ensure data delivery meets enterprise standards and SLAs.
Provide
production support
, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of ETL or data-related incidents.

Required Skills & Experience:

4+ years
of hands-on experience in
ETL development
.
Strong proficiency in
SQL
and
PL/SQL
, with experience in at least one major RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.).
Expertise in
ETL performance tuning
,
error handling
, and
optimization techniques
.
Solid understanding of
data warehousing concepts
, including
star/snowflake schemas
and
data modeling fundamentals
.
Familiarity with
job scheduling tools
(e.g., Control-M, Autosys, or equivalent).
Proficiency in
Unix/Linux shell scripting
for automation and integration tasks.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent
communication and collaboration
abilities.

Good to Have:

Experience with
cloud-based ETL platforms
such as
AWS Glue
,
Azure Data Factory
, or
GCP Dataflow
.
Exposure to
Big Data technologies
(Hadoop, Spark).
Familiarity with
Agile/Scrum
delivery methodologies.
