The Estimation officer is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for façade projects, including curtain wall, cladding, aluminum and glazing systems. The role requires technical understanding of façade systems, materials, and construction methods. The Estimation Officer works closely with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure precise quantity take-offs, cost breakdowns, and bid documentation for client submissions.
• Review tender documents, architectural drawings, specifications, and BOQs related to façade works.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for aluminum, glazing, cladding, louvers, and other façade systems.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or other relevant tools.
• Source and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotes for materials, fabrication, and installation. • Coordinate with design and technical departments to clarify system specifications and feasibility. • Support preparation of technical and commercial proposals.
• Maintain and update the cost database, including labor rates, material prices, and subcontractor rates.
• Assist in value engineering and cost optimization activities during tender stage.
• Participate in post-tender clarifications and negotiations when required.
• Monitor and track submitted bids, feedback, and win/loss ratios.

1. Accuracy of Preliminary Estimates
• KPI: Ensure 90% accuracy in preliminary cost estimates submitted to senior estimators.
• KPI: Achieve a variance of less than 7% between initial and final project cost estimates.
2. Data Collection and Analysis
• KPI: Ensure 95% accuracy in data collected from suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
• KPI: Complete data collection for each project within the specified timeline (e.g., within two weeks of project assignment).
3. Collaboration and Support
• KPI: Achieve 90% or higher satisfaction score from senior estimators and the estimation manager for support provided.
• KPI: Complete 95% of assigned tasks within the designated timeline.
4. Documentation and Organization
• KPI: Ensure that 100% of cost estimation documentation is organized and accessible for future reference.
• KPI: Implement a system to reduce errors in documentation by 10% annually.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related fields.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in estimation or quantity surveying preferably from façade industry..
• Strong knowledge of façade systems (unitized, stick, spider glazing, ACP, GRC, etc.).
• Proficiency in estimation and project management software.
