Lead Estimation Process: Manage and oversee the estimation team, ensuring all estimates are completed accurately, on time, and in line with company standards.
Cost Analysis: Review and analyse project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for LT switchboards and related equipment.
Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and negotiate prices to ensure cost-effective solutions.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with project costs and timelines and develop mitigation strategies.
Budgeting: Prepare detailed project budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with the company s financial goals.
Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure project requirements and scope alignment.
Client Interaction: Participate in meetings and presentations to discuss project estimates and provide technical support.
Continuous Improvement: Review and improve estimation processes, tools, and templates to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Training & Development: Mentor and train junior estimators and other team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
Reporting: Regularly report estimation activities, project profitability, and potential opportunities to senior management.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in estimation within the electrical industry, focusing on LT switchboards.
Proven track record of managing estimation teams and delivering accurate cost estimates.

Technical Skills

In-depth knowledge of LT switchboard components, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ERP systems).
