The Sales Engineer will drive sales growth by providing technical expertise and support in promoting and selling LT switchboards. The Sales Engineer will be key in building strong customer relationships and achieving sales targets. Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy Execution: Implement and execute the company s sales strategy to meet or exceed sales targets for LT switchboards and related products. Customer Engagement: Identify and engage potential customers, understand their technical requirements, and propose suitable solutions. Technical Support: Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance, including preparing technical proposals, product demonstrations, and answering customer queries. Quotations and Proposals: Prepare and deliver accurate and competitive quotations and proposals, working closely with the estimation and engineering teams. Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, understand market trends, and stay ahead of the competition. Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of LT switchboards, industry standards, and emerging technologies to communicate product features and benefits to customers effectively. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships, ensuring high customer satisfaction and repeat business. Negotiation: Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and contracts to close sales deals that meet company profitability goals. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, production, and project management, to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction. Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and forecasts in the CRM system. Qualifications Education: Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably within the electrical or LT switchboard industry . Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets . Technical Skills Strong understanding of LT switchboard design, manufacturing processes, and industry standards. Soft Skills Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Cost Analysis: Review and analyse project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for LT switchboards and related equipment. Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and negotiate prices to ensure cost-effective solutions. Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with project costs and timelines and develop mitigation strategies. Budgeting: Prepare detailed project budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with the company s financial goals. Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure project requirements and scope alignment. Client Interaction: Participate in meetings and presentations to discuss project estimates and provide technical support. Continuous Improvement: Review and improve estimation processes, tools, and templates to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Training & Development: Mentor and train junior estimators and other team members to develop their skills and knowledge. Reporting: Regularly report estimation activities, project profitability, and potential opportunities to senior management. Qualifications Education: Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering. Experience: 7+ years of experience in estimation within the electrical industry, focusing on LT switchboards. Proven track record of managing estimation teams and delivering accurate cost estimates. Technical Skills In-depth knowledge of LT switchboard components, manufacturing processes, and industry standards. Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ERP systems).
