Estimation Engineer-Rooftop Solar Projects

Urgent Hiring for Estimation Engineer role for Hyderabad Location

Job Title

• Visit client sites to assess the physical, technical, and electrical parameters required for rooftop solar installation.
• Conduct site surveys including shadow analysis, structural inspection, and electrical load profiling.
• Prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimations, and technical proposals based on site conditions and customer requirements.
• Liaise with design and procurement teams to ensure feasibility and cost efficiency.
• Prepare and submit techno-commercial offers and assist in tender documentation if required.
• Work closely with business development/sales teams to provide timely and competitive estimates.
• Support the engineering and execution teams by providing clarity on estimation-related assumptions during the project execution phase.
• Maintain records of previous estimations and update cost databases periodically.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• 24 years of experience in estimation, preferably in the

  solar rooftop segment

  .
• Strong knowledge of solar PV components, installation practices, and costing.
• Proficient in tools like AutoCAD, PVsyst, MS Excel, etc.
• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience working with rooftop solar projects ranging from 10 kW to 1 MW.
• Familiarity with local DISCOM and government subsidy norms (if applicable).
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
