Civil Structural Designer (Draughtsman)

Role & Responsibilities:

As a Civil Structural Designer, you will play a key role in supporting the engineering and drafting requirements of our Brownfield Refinery Project. Your responsibilities will include:

• Executing day-to-day civil and structural drafting activities.
• Performing modelling work and applying civil/structural drafting philosophies.
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to address modelling, drafting, and site requirements.
• Extracting Material Take-Offs (MTO) from models or through manual calculations.
• Conducting constructability reviews and supporting maintenance activities.
• Maintaining accurate records of drawings and preparing drawing lists for assigned jobs.
• Developing and updating standard drawings and checklists to enhance drafting productivity.
• Ensuring compliance with quality standards and adherence to EOUK drafting guidelines.
• Utilizing standard drafting templates and completing checklists to maintain consistency.

Preferred Candidate Profile

We are seeking an experienced professional with the following qualifications and skills:

• Education:

  ITI/Diploma in Civil Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience:

  10-15 years in civil and structural drafting, preferably in brownfield projects.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in 2D drafting software such as AutoCAD (or equivalent).
• Experience with 3D modelling tools such as AutoCAD Plant 3D (or equivalent).
• Familiarity with laser scan software such as LFM, Recap, Cintoo (or equivalent).

• Field Experience:

  Hands-on exposure to resolving RFIs, addressing site requirements, and providing quick, practical solutions.
