Job Summary

The MEPF Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and supporting the execution of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting (MEPF) works to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards. The role involves close coordination with engineering teams, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure seamless integration of all MEPF systems throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Coordination & Planning

  • Coordinate and monitor all MEPF activities to ensure compliance with project schedules and milestones.
  • Assist in reviewing project drawings, BOQs, method statements, and technical specifications.
  • Support preparation and updating of MEPF work schedules, progress forecasts, and resource planning.

2. Drawing & Technical Review

  • Coordinate with design teams for shop drawings, as-built drawings, and schematic revisions.
  • Identify and report design discrepancies, clashes, or technical issues using tools such as Navisworks/BIM (if applicable).
  • Assist in preparation and review of material submittals and ensure technical compliance with project requirements.

3. Site Coordination & Supervision

  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify progress, quality, and compliance with approved drawings.
  • Coordinate the installation of MEPF systems with civil, architectural, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Follow up on work execution and ensure subcontractors are working in line with approved plans and standards.

4. Materials & Procurement Support

  • Monitor procurement schedules and follow up on material submittals, approvals, and deliveries.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams, vendors, and suppliers to avoid material shortages or project delays.
  • Verify delivered materials against specifications and approved submittals.

5. Meetings & Documentation

  • Organize and participate in coordination meetings with contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Prepare Minutes of Meetings (MOMs) and track action items to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, logs, reports, RFIs, NCRs, and correspondence.

6. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure MEPF installations comply with project specifications, industry codes, and authority regulations.
  • Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams.
  • Support site safety compliance by coordinating with HSE teams and enforcing safety procedures.

7. Testing, Commissioning & Handover

  • Assist in preparing T&C procedures for MEPF systems and support on-site commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and consultants to complete testing, inspections, and final approvals.
  • Ensure proper documentation for handover, including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, test reports, and warranty certificates.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.

Experience

  • 25 years of experience in MEPF coordination within construction, fit-out, infrastructure, or related industries.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of MEPF systems installation and coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documents.
  • Familiarity with BIM/AutoCAD/Navisworks is an advantage.
  • Understanding of local authority standards and project specifications.
