The Laser Scanning Analysis and Support Engineer will be responsible for assisting laser scanning projects related to the repair of turbomachinery, analyzing point cloud data, and providing technical support to clients and internal teams. This role requires a strong understanding of laser scanning technology, data processing, and 3D modeling, with a specific focus on the outstanding requirements of turbomachinery applications. Process and analyze point cloud data using specialized software to build accurate 3D models of turbo compressors and associated components. Generate detailed reports and visualizations to support design, repair, and optimization efforts. Fix and resolve issues related to laser scanning equipment and software. Provide technical assistance and support to service centers regarding laser scanning projects, data interpretation, and the application of findings to turbomachinery repair. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other collaborators to understand project requirements and work you're doing specific to turbomachinery. Prepare and present findings, recommendations, and technical reports to clients and internal teams, emphasizing the implications for turbo compressor performance and efficiency. Ensure the accuracy and quality of data collected and processed, adhering to industry standards and best practices in laser scanning and turbomachinery analysis. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with a focus on turbomachinery. Proven experience of at least 3 years in laser scanning, surveying, or 3D modeling, preferably in the context of turbomachinery or industrial applications. Proficiency in software (e.g., Polyworks, Spatial Analyzer, or similar) and CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, Autocad). Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, particularly in interpreting complex geometries and engineering specifications. Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. vConstruct , a Pune based Construction Technology company is looking for highly motivated individuals who have an interest in Construction Technology, especially BIM and Reality Capture. These individuals are expected to have an eye for details and a comprehensive understanding of various elements including Architectural, Structural and, MEP systems, as well as basic understanding of laser scanning and scan registration. Upon successful joining, the individual will be provided with initial training courses and on-the-job training to help them succeed in this role. The Project Engineer Reality Capture (VB) works on Scan to BIM techniques to capture the As-builtconditions and analyze them. Principal Responsibilities Include: Develop accurate models based on the pointclouds or redline drawings using parametric or solid objects which may include building systems like Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing and Fire Protection systems with core and shell. Proficient in scan registration software’s like Faro Scene, Leica Register 360, Trimble Realworks etc. Includes registration (target based, cloud to cloud), adding control points from survey data or CADs available, scan cleanup and analysis such as contours, volume calculations etc. Proficient in reading Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical design drawings, single line diagrams, riser diagrams etc. Leveraging the MEP systems knowledge to resolve any conflicts in As-built condition, and flag critical issues to the clients. Produce dimensioned As-built plans and drawings for site coordination. Ability to perform various Quality Checks on the Models to validate them for the following points: Model accuracy and completeness Alignment based on design model/documents. Model sanity: no duplication of data, no errors or omissions, continuity of systems between the different points of connection. Ability to compare 2D and 3D data between the different versions to identify what has changed over a period. Flexibility to meet and communicate with project teams based in the USA during evening hours (7:30 – 11:30 pm IST) on an as-needed basis. Ability to read and understand RFIs and provide suitable responses to project teams. Generate Mesh Models and Classification from Laser Scan Data. Basic Understanding or willingness to explore Dynamo Scripts, html, Python etc. Ability to travel to on-site locations for laser scanning on an as needed basis. Skills and Qualifications: We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. Senior Subsea Surveyor The Senior Subsea Surveyor is a team member of the Subsea, Civil, and Marine Engineering team within ENGINE Center and provides deep technical expertise in land C hydrographic survey C positioning principles, data collection, processing and quality control. This role requires knowledge in applying geospatial processing and visualization packages such as: ESRI Geographic Information Systems (GIS), EIVA, AutoCAD, Cyclone, etc. to derive valuable insight for our business. The successful candidate will need to have a strong core knowledge on the application of coordinate reference systems, transformations, and vertical datums. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising Upstream Major Capital Projects (from concept development to commissioning), Base Business Subsea Operations, Downstream Manufacturing Facilities development C maintenance operations across multiple international locations. Key Responsibilities Provide short-term survey C positioning support to Major Capital Projects and assets globally to ensure technical excellence and operational efficiency. Review of survey procedures, site representation, acoustic frequency management planning, subsea metrology, offshore installation, subsea intervention, and inspection of subsea facilities and pipelines. Leverage data and software engineering techniques to create business value through data accessibility, data processing, data management and application of GIS. Understanding the business needs of the corporation to support work processes and strategic business objectives. Initiate and lead research and development programs to deliver new technologies to the business. Establishes C maintains working relationships with key stakeholders within the ENGINE, Technology Center, Capital Projects, and Business Units across the enterprise. Preferred Qualification A minimum of 10-15 years experience in land C offshore positioning, geophysical survey, terrestrial laser scanning and photogrammetric surveys, aerial LiDAR surveys, survey control networks and construction support. Demonstrated success working on multi-discipline teams as a technical contributor. Experience applying agile project management principles. Familiarity with the development and application of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GENAI) tools C platforms is highly regarded. Experience working with diverse geospatial 3D data types e.g. Digital Terrain Models (DTM), LiDAR point clouds, orthomosaics, Business Information Models (BIM) etc.
