Estimation & Design Engineer

1. Project Analysis:

Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand the scope of the requirements.

Conduct site visits and collaborate with project managers and design teams and respective other departments to gather relevant information for accurate estimations.

2. Cost Estimation:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for ELV System, Gas Suppression System, Security System, BMS systems, including water based system and other related components.

Utilize estimating software and tools to ensure accuracy and consistency in cost calculations.

Consider labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs when developing estimates.

3. Risk Assessment:

Identify and assess potential risks and uncertainties associated with the project, incorporating risk mitigation strategies into cost estimates.

4. Proposal Development:

Work closely with the sales and business development teams to develop comprehensive and competitive proposals.

Present cost estimates and proposals to clients, addressing any queries or concerns they may have.

5. Vendor and Subcontractor Relations:

Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.

Negotiate pricing and contract terms with vendors and subcontractors.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all estimates, proposals, and related correspondence.

Provide regular reports to management on the status of ongoing estimations and proposals.

7. Quality Assurance:

Ensure that cost estimates comply with industry standards, local building codes, and regulations.

8. Continuous Improvement:

Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and changes in regulations to continuously improve estimating processes.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.

· Proven experience as an Estimation Engineer in the fire fighting systems domain.

· In-depth knowledge of ELV System, Gas Suppression System, Security System, BMS System and Water based systems, codes, and standards.

· Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

· Proficient in using estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

· Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
