Job Description

Entra ID & Active Directory Support Engineer

Location: Pune

Experience: 6-10 years

Immediate joiners preferred.

Responsibilities:

Provide ongoing operational support for Entra ID and AD to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

  • Perform regular health checks, performance tuning, and patching for AD and Entra ID services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to user identities, access, authentication, and synchronization, including

    problems with ADFS, Azure AD Connect, Group Policy (GPO), and DNS

  • Configure and troubleshoot

    Conditional Access Policies, MFA, SSPR, Identity Protection alerts, and risk-based access

    .
  • Maintain Enterprise Applications (SAML/OIDC apps), app registrations, and service principals
  • Participate in meetings to understand and recommend the best technical, most cost-effective solutions.
  • Develop and enforce security policies to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor security threats, investigate security events, and participate in incident response activities.
  • Implement and manage role-based access controls (RBAC) to enforce the principle of least privilege.

  • Provision, deprovision, and modify user identities across Entra ID and AD using established IAM workflows.

  • Manage support requests, policies, device trust, adaptive authentication failures, and user access problems

  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate tasks and improve overall efficiency and security

  • Update knowledgebase and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and KB articles.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IS, Computer Science, MIS Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Level 2 analyst experienced with

    Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

    and

    Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS)

    .
  • Good understanding of IAM, MFA, SSO and Zero Trust best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with

    Entra Connect

    , Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, and app integrations
  • Good understanding of endpoint management and network security and Intune
  • Proficiency in

    PowerShell

    for automation (MSOnline, EntraID, Graph, AD modules).

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • CompTIA Security+ / CySA+
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise related to ITES and Telecommunications
