Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Head of Department (HOD) – English (Secondary) to lead our English faculty and curriculum for the secondary school. The ideal candidate will bring academic expertise, proven leadership capabilities, and a vision to strengthen English language learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the English department for secondary grades in alignment with the school’s vision and academic goals.
• Design, implement, and review the English curriculum to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
• Mentor, support, and evaluate English faculty to enhance instructional quality.
• Foster a culture of creativity, research, and innovation in English teaching practices.
• Organize workshops, literary activities, debates, and other initiatives to enrich student learning.
• Monitor student performance, analyze outcomes, and implement strategies for improvement.
• Collaborate with senior leadership for curriculum development and academic planning.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of teaching experience as a secondary English teacher.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as HOD/Academic Coordinator in English.
• Strong expertise in secondary school English curriculum and pedagogy.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• A postgraduate degree in English or a related field (B.Ed. / M.Ed. preferred).
