We re looking for an experienced and versatile Engineering Manager to lead a talented team focused on developing our platform and integrating it with key third-party partners including payment processors, Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) providers, Fraud Prevention services, Financial Data Platforms, and other FinTech innovators. You ll sit at the intersection of product, technology, and finance shaping the strategy and execution behind mission-critical integrations that power our customer-facing features (real-time transaction processing, reporting portals, and more). Working in a modern tech stack including Java (Spring Boot), Python, AWS Lambdas, PostgreSQL, React.js, Node.js, and Next.js you ll play a key role in architectural decisions, delivery excellence, and team development. WHAT YOU LL BE DOING: Lead, support, and grow a team of software engineers delivering both customer-facing and platform capabilities. Guide architecture and design across our self-serve customer portal, real-time transaction dashboards, and intelligent routing engine. Shape product thinking alongside Product and Design to ensure seamless, intuitive user experiences. Oversee third-party integrations with key FinTech partners. Ensure integrations are secure, performant, and scalable from design through to production support. Champion engineering quality through architecture reviews, hands-on technical guidance, and best practices. Foster a high-trust, inclusive, and continuously improving team environment. Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in Product, Compliance, and Business to deliver impactful outcomes. Lead incident response, retrospectives, and process improvements with a focus on learning and operational excellence. A track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams to deliver complex real-time systems and third-party integrations. Experience guiding technical decisions, coaching engineers, and driving delivery in a fast-paced product environment. Strong hands-on experience with backend technologies such as Java (Spring Boot), Python, PostgreSQL, and cloud-native architecture. Exposure to frontend technologies such as React.js, Node.js, and Next.js is a plus particularly in the context of building and scaling customer-facing products. Comfortable with modern DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, and infrastructure-as-code. Solid understanding of third-party APIs and secure data transmission (REST, SOAP, OAuth, etc.). Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working cross-functionally and across time zones. Passionate about building a strong engineering culture through mentorship, ownership, and continuous improvement.
