We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Head of Engineering to lead and support our engineering teams. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Proven experience building & leading high-performing engineering teams in a technology-driven organisation. A strong leader and mentor, capable of inspiring teams and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement whilst focusing on delivering quality. Deep expertise in software architecture, system design, and cloud-native development. Hands-on experience with modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, React.JS etc). Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred), containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). Experience with observability, distributed tracing, and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry). A strong advocate for DevOps culture and automation, with experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and reliability engineering best practices. Desired experience working in the Payments domain, with an understanding of compliance, transaction flows, and regulatory requirements (ISO27001, PCI-DSS 4.0 and Open Banking APIs). Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
