Role Overview

We are seeking an

Engineering Manager (MERN Stack)

Node.js, Express.js, React.js, and MongoDB

hands-on technical expertise

team management and strategic decision-making

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of scalable backend services and REST APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Architect and maintain robust data models with MongoDB and NoSQL databases.
• Drive end-to-end product development in collaboration with Product, DevOps, and Frontend teams.
• Ensure high standards of code quality through peer reviews, test coverage, and automation.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and maintainability of backend systems.
• Manage background jobs, queues, and event-driven architecture.
• Implement and uphold best practices in application security and data protection.
• Lead sprint planning, architecture discussions, and release cycles.
• Mentor and guide engineers to grow technically and align with organizational goals.
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience: 6+ years in backend development, with strong command of the MERN Stack.
• Expertise in Node.js, Express.js, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Deep understanding of MongoDB schema design and performance optimization.
• Proven experience architecting scalable and resilient backend systems.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI).
• Experience with Redis, message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  

Good to Have

• Exposure to AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda) or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Working knowledge of GraphQL, WebSockets, or gRPC.
• Contributions to open-source projects or public code repositories.
