Job Description

Role & responsibilities

You will work towards Design, Development & Testing of Complete 2-Wheeler Electric Vehicle as per Piaggio Standards in coordination with Internal Teams & External agencies (as applicable) ensuring the Products/Vehicle adheres to the Compliances and Conditions of Regulatory Body and Piaggio Standards

Preferred candidate profile

2-Wheeler Electric Vehicle drivetrain testing & validation.
Active involvement in design, development & industrialization of components & vehicles.
To develop & execute testing & validation plans to ensure product functionality, reliability & compliance with specifications & regulatory requirements.
To carry out component level performance & durability testing of electrical components like battery pack, MCU, VCU, wiring harness, sensors, BMS, charger, wiring harness and various onboard electronics.
E-motor testing: electrical, mechanical, and thermal tests,
Battery Pack testing: ensure performance, safety, and reliability, such as discharge testing, cycle life testing, and thermal performance tests.
Validate CAN, LIN, UART communication protocols and data logging accuracy.
Conduct fault simulation, debugging, and root cause analysis (RCA).
Perform EMI/EMC pre-compliance testing and support certification activities.
Hands on experience on using oscilloscope, multimeter, DC power supply, load banks, thermal chambers, vibration rigs etc.
To carry out vehicle rests for energy consumption using MIDC, WMTC test cycles etc.
To test & validate the MCU calibration & E-motor to ensure vehicle performance & reliability as per project requirements.
To contribute in component design, technical feasibility & related discussions with suppliers.
To carry out fitment, functional trials on components along with concerned teams.
To participate & contribute to value engineering projects.
To carry out corrective actions with supplier & plant teams as needed in terms of design or processes.
Work closely with Development team to meet product quality & timelines.
Assess technical feasibility for introduction of components / sub-systems.
Prepare detailed MIS reports and present findings to Supervisor/Manager on weekly basis.
Benchmarking of vehicle & sub-systems.
To lead the Homologation & COP of the vehicles.
Field failure analysis & resolution .
