Purpose of the Role The primary objective of the Field Sales Executive/Engineer is to identify sales opportunities, perform technical site assessments, provide solar energy solutions, and ensure successful sales closures across residential, commercial, and industrial customers, contributing to the company’s business growth in compliance with ISO-defined sales procedures. 2. Key Responsibilities Generate and follow up on leads for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects. Conduct site visits to understand the feasibility of solar installations. Explain technical, financial, and environmental benefits of solar systems to prospective customers. Prepare and present customized proposals including cost-benefit analysis and return on investment. Coordinate with internal teams to develop design and technical solutions. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as assigned. Maintain detailed documentation of leads, meetings, site visits, and proposals as per ISO standards. Report daily and weekly activities and performance to the reporting manager. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships for repeat and referral business. Stay updated with new government policies, incentives, and technology trends in the solar sector. 3. Required Qualifications and Skills The candidate must hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering or an equivalent technical field. A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in solar or renewable energy sales is preferred. Candidates must possess strong communication and presentation skills, a customer-centric mindset, and a willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory. Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, and basic understanding of solar systems is required. 4. Competencies Technical understanding of solar PV systems and components. High level of integrity and professionalism. 5. Responsibility The Field Sales Executive is responsible for conducting all field-level sales activities, client follow-ups, proposal submissions, and achieving assigned targets in compliance with organizational sales procedures and ISO standards. 8. Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) The individual must follow safety guidelines during all site visits. This includes using personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to company’s health and safety protocols, and immediately reporting any unsafe conditions or incidents. 9. Training and Development The role requires the candidate to undergo induction training on company processes and solar product offerings. Periodic refresher training on technical knowledge, safety procedures, and sales skills will be provided as part of continuous professional development.
